A number of Masjids from Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead, Egham and surrounding areas have come together to form the Thames Valley East Masaajid Council. After many months of hard work and preparation we can announce the launch today.

As an overarching organisation it aims to provide a united forum for Masaajid to understand and address Muslim community needs in the area.

A number of sub groups have started work, such as the Muslim Family Council which is looking into islamic advice and help for parenting issues, marriages and divorce matters or funeral arrangements when a loved one passes away.

The Youth Council is looking into under achievement, drugs, knife and other crime among Muslim youth.

A comprehensive survey is soon to be launched to ask the Muslim community directly about your needs and expectations.
