Maidenhead Mosque would like to openly invite the wider non-Muslim community to attend an Iftar (breaking of the fast at sunset) session in this month of Ramadhan.
During Ramadan, Muslims pay special attention to charity & helping others. More effort is made to renew intentions to give more time and energy. Working with the vulnerable and needy is a core part of faith and in Ramadan this emphasis is even greater.
This Ramadhan Maidenhead Mosque will be continuing with St Lukes Church and the Open Kitchen to provide food and help for people who cannot afford to feed themselves properly
The Mosque Iftar session is a joint initiative with WAMCF (Windsor & Maidenhead Community Forum) in order to promote and strengthen long standing community relations. The aim is to encourage people to come together and share iftar during Ramadan, by inviting friends and neighbours from different faiths and backgrounds.
The session will be hosted by our Imam, which will include a talk about the importance of the month of Ramadan, with brief words from our special guests, Iftar (opening of the fast at 9.25pm) and an opportunity to observe the congregational prayer at 9.30pm- 9.45pm.
Kindly confirm your attendance by return email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Look forward to seeing you
