COMMUNITY IFTAR

Posted on: 12 June 2017
The Islamic Trust Maidenhead would like to invite the Maidenhead community of all faiths and backgrounds to attend a community Iftar (breaking of the fast at sunset) session in relation to the month of Ramadhan.

Date: Monday 12th June 2017
Time: 8.00pm to 10.00pm

During Ramadan, Muslims pay special attention to charity and helping others. More effort is made to renew intentions to give more time and energy. Working with the vulnerable and needy is a core part of faith and in Ramadan this emphasis is even greater.

This is the sixth year that Maidenhead Mosque will be continuing with St Lukes Church and the Open Kitchen a local charity to provide food and help for people who cannot afford to fully support themselves properly.

The session will be hosted by our Imam, with special guest speaker Imam Monawar Hussain of Eton College & Oxford Foundation, brief words from our special guests, Iftar (opening of the fast at 9.26pm) and an opportunity to observe the live prayer at the end.

Kindly confirm your attendance by return email to info@maidenheadmosque.org
